Here are some fabulous dog parks for your four-legged friends in Fishtown.
Let me introduce my three dogs, Yuki, Brooklyn and Coco. Yuki is an Elkhound mixed with Jack Russell Terrier, Brooklyn is a Rat Terrier and little Coco Bean is a long haired Chihuahua. Since my wife and I live right off of Girard Ave (Riverside area) of Fishtown we take our dogs every morning to Penn Treaty Park. Penn Treaty is a blast for our dogs since it's mainly off leash. No one has complained about our dogs being off leash and it's a know thing that dogs are allowed off leash as long as they behave and you clean up after them! Here's a morning shot of Penn Treaty Park to the right. Great views of the Ben Franklin Bridge and of course the Delaware River, all while your fur baby enjoys roaming!
Here are the other two dog parks in Fishtown:
Palmer Doggie Depot: a fenced in play area for dogs. Grab some Steap & Grind coffee and a chocolate chip cookie which are the best I've had in a long time and meet your neighbors!
Triangle Dog Park: located at 898 Aramingo Ave. You read that right. A triangle shaped dog park that doesn't have a ton of grass but a good spot to get your pup tired.
Let us know if you know of any others so we can add it to our list!
