A Labor Day to remember in Philadelphia

A Labor Day to remember in Philadelphia

Philadelphia, the city where America was born, is gearing up to host two of the biggest names in American music, both performing live this Labor Day weekend.

Saturday and Sunday on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, the “Made in America festival” will hold a multistage event headlined by rapper, songwriter and record producer Jay-Z.  Other expected headliners at this event include Pearl Jam, Run-DMC, punk rock veterans X, Philadelphia R&B poet Jill Scott among others.  Crowds upwards of 100,000 people are expected to flood this event alone this weekend.

Meanwhile, on Sunday and Monday, down on Broad Street at Citizens Bank Park, “The Boss”, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will be performing back-to-back three-hour marathons on his Wrecking Ball tour.  His performance this weekend will set a remarkable milestone making “The Boss” and the E street band the first act to perform in every major live music venue in the city.

As far as iconic pop superstars go, it would be hard to find two acts more different from one another.  Philadelphia, the birthplace of America, is delighted to host both artists here this Labor Day weekend.

Philadelphians… get ready for a weekend to remember.

Happy Labor Day!
