So this is the man Bon Appetit magazine named the best pizza maker in the country. In my city; Philadelphia..in Fishtown..What a town!
Yes..and with that famed title came 500 people a day. So What? Who Cares? Beddia only makes 40 pizzas a day and he's sticking to it!
Joe Beddia makes the pizzas and runs the business with the help of just one other employee who takes orders and runs the register. They do it all; its that simple. And its a simple formula; work Wednesday to Saturday and make 40 perfect pizzas a day; Pushing it is 45 - 50. But that't it...no more!
For Beddia, making pizza is his passion. In 2013 Beddia got lucky when the space he had been eyeing dropped in price. He got a great deal on a lease in Fishtown and so the legend began. Fishtown is now one of the hottest neighborhoods in Philly with the best pizza in the country. Cleary we have arrived and keep arriving!

The hours aren't bullshit. They open at 5:30. If twenty people line up before opening and 14 people buy two pizzas, crazy stoner Barry buys three, and the nine others get one each, that's forty pizzas. That is not bullshit. That's some standardized testing next level pizza math"!
