Food enthusiasts rejoice as Le Bec Fin has recently reopened under new ownership, with rave reviews, after a three-month hiatus. The restaurant, located on Walnut Street just blocks from Philadelphia’s posh Rittenhouse Square, is just as ambitious as the old in regards to the interior. There is a new tasting menu, a new bar area and the interior has been completely renovated. The restaurant that first put Philadelphia on the dining map has reopened its doors under new ownership. Frenchman Nicolas Fanucci - a former Le Bec-Fin manager under founder George Perrier – has taken a break from overseeing his restaurant French Laundry in Napa Valley to take over the newly renovated and restored iconic restaurant. The menu is prix-fixe only and will set you back $150, immediately making Le Bec-Fin the most expensive restaurant in Philadelphia.
