Best Places To Shop Until You Drop In Philly

Image title

‘I have a black belt in shopping.’ If you know the origin of that quote, we’re best friends.

Here are some of my favorite places to shop for clothing in Philly. You can thank me later! Your wallet, not so much.

If I want something that no one else has, I come here. I also always buy something from Skirt that I normally wouldn’t have picked out for myself. Their selection is just out of comfort zone but all that means is it’s fashion forward and I need to get on board. They have European designers that I have never heard of and haven’t seen anywhere else. And the stylists there are top notch! You feel like you’re shopping with your girlfriends. O and if you live in the suburbs or go down the shore, you can enjoy their two other locations in Bryn Mawr and Stone Harbor.

Joan Shepp

If SKIRT makes me step out of my comfort zone, Joan Shepp makes me leap. If I’m looking to make a major statement, this is my go-to. I wish I was cooler to buy everything in this store but I’m not. I envy the women who are! And if I’m not bold enough to wear their clothing, I almost always walk out with an accessory or a piece of jewelry.

I don’t like it when boutiques carry the same thing as a department store. Which is why Vagabond never disappoints Price wise, it’s spot on so it’s hard not to take two arms worth of clothes into the fitting room. And they get me every time with the jewelry at the register. Gold is my favorite color. Not yellow, not pink…. GOLD. And the have a great selection of gold/antique brass jewelry there. *insert open hands emoji here*

JINXED (West Philly)

Jinxed, as in the vintage furniture store? Yes. Also has vintage clothing finds? Yaaaassss. If you’re looking for the perfect old school jean jacket, look no further. I don’t know where they find their furniture for such great prices but I’m equally as miffed by the prices of their clothing.
